No arms for Israel! Stop the War now!

Street battles rage throughout the Gaza Strip as Palestinian militiamen fend off the Israeli invaders who have killed over 27,000 Palestinians and damaged or destroyed at least half of all the buildings in the Palestinian Arab enclave. Israel hits militia camps in Syria and Lebanon, and Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance movement, responds with rocket attacks on Zionist settlements. Palestinians in the occupied West Bank take up the gun to halt a new wave of Zionist settler violence as the Houthi Yemeni government steps up its blockade of Israeli shipping in the Red Sea.

Rubbish from Council Management

First in South Tyneside: In a long-running dispute, the local council has resorted to supplying skips for uncollected rubbish that has built up during an on–off strike which began in early November.

The thin red line

The Sunak government has wisely dismissed General Sanders’ recent call for a “citizen army” for war with Russia, which in his mind has already begun in Ukraine. “This war is not merely about the black soil of the Donbas, nor the re-establishment of a Russian empire,” the worthy general says. “It’s about defeating our system and way of life politically, psychologically and symbolically. How we respond as the pre-war generation will reverberate through history. Ukrainian bravery is buying time, for now.”
